Cultural Empowerment, Not Cultural Appropriation

Companies spend countless hours and iterations on designs, names, and imagery that avoid copyright infringement of other companies. However, the use of indigenous designs and culture in the outdoor industry is unchecked. This practice is the source of direct economic harm to many indigenous communities who would otherwise would benefit from these designs.

As a native-owned outdoor apparel company we are setting a replicable business practice that empowers communities and ensures that our products empower communities.

Our vision for social impact in 2019

  • We have committed to give back 2% of our total sales to charitable causes.

  • Work with 1% for the Planet & outdoor companies to support more indigenous 501c3's and organizations.

  • Create a industry certification to certify business practices that promote cultural empowerment, not cultural appropriation
